A Feast from the Shire – A Mead and Cocktail Dinner

A Feast Fit for Hobbits: A Celebration in Honor of Tolkien
“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” – Thorin Oakenshield to Bilbo Baggins.
Gather your fellowship and join us in the Shire, or at The Forge Tavern as we celebrate the new year and raise a toast to the birthday of the great storyteller himself. In true Hobbit fashion, we shall dine heartily and drink deeply—sharing laughter, mead, and mirth.
A four-course feast awaits, with mead and cocktail pairings to delight even the most discerning traveler of Middle-earth:
The Menu
Lembas Bread — Elven waybread, served warm with a savory dip fit for the Fellowship.
Baked, glazed fowl (chicken wings) and Garden Salad — A rustic course from the Green Dragon’s own table.
Roasted, glazed Vegetables & Hearty Bœuf bourguignon — A robust serving to satisfy any hungry adventurer, with house-made beer bread fresh from the oven.
The One Ring Cake — A golden finale crowned with lemon curd and bright berries.
For our gentlefolk of the Shire with special tastes:
Vegan lentil stew in place of the meat stew.
Cauliflower wings in place of chicken wings.
Raise your glass and your spirits—whether you come as an elf, hobbit, dwarf, or ranger, all are welcome at this table of fellowship.
Costumes encouraged but not required.
